Next General Meeting - November 26, 2019 - Holiday Gathering
October 27, 2019
QCHCA - AGM - March 26 2019
March 26, 2019
You are invited to attend the QCHCA Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, March 26 from 7 - 9 pm in the Seniors Wing of the Cedar Hill Rec Centre. The meeting will include a President's Report, the annual financials and election of Executive members.
Also on the agenda will be a special resolution to amend bylaw 4.2.5 which currently reads "Nominations may be made from the floor, at the Annual General Meeting until nominations are closed, by vote, at the Meeting" to "Nominations are open to any member of the QCHCA who is in good standing and whose expression of interest to stand for election has been submitted to the Chair of the Board Recruitment Committee no later than February 15; nominations from the floor will not be accepted."
This proposed change will provide opportunities for anyone interested in seeking a Board position to meet with the Recruitment Committee to become informed about the Association, its vision and plans, and the various roles and responsibilities of each role before making a commitment.
Following the business portion of the meeting, we will be welcoming Dr. Teale Phelps Bondaroff as our Guest Speaker. Teale is a passionate teacher, dedicated environmentalist,
debate coach, and community organizer. In particular he plans to share
his enthusiasm as the creator and lead of the “Pocket Places Project”. This
project of the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network aims to support little
free libraries across Greater Victoria.
Mark your calendars and plan to join your friends and neighbours for what promises to be an informative and engaging evening.
Everyone is welcome to attend the evening, however, only QCHCA members may vote. Membership is $10 per person per calendar year.
